used to make maintenance easier.
Microsoft Access was used to create an off-line database.
A script supplied by CYNERGI
exported all the tables in the Access database to an ASCII
file containing SQL instructions. This ASCII file was used
to create and insert data into an online MySQL
database.
Programs written in PHP3
are used to access the online databases and create dynamic
HTML search result pages.
The Steam.to logo was created by Ozz Scott a fellow railway
enthusiast, using his original photography.
Maps are provided by Multimap
and are linked to using either post code or grid reference.
Unlike many sites, this website is not designed for one specific
browser.
